Lost your Mobile?

Posted by: Nath on: May 23, 2008

Now don’t worry about your lost mobile. Just follow the procedure and get your mobile back.

An IMEI number-The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is an international identity number used to uniquely identify a mobile phone. The 15-digit IMEI number is an electronic fingerprint transmitted every time a phone is used, which reveals the identity of the mobile handset.

How can you find out your IMEI number?

MEI numbers are independent of the phone number and are usually written underneath the battery or on the back of the handset. Mobile phone users can also check their 15 digit IMEI number by dialling *#06# on their mobile handset. Mobile phone owners should make a note of their IMEI number and keep the details in a safe place.

You can send your details to cop@vsnl.net to get back your mobile.

Your name:
Address:
Phone model:
Make:
Last used No:
E-mail for communication:
Missed date:
IMEI No:

* This technology is not available in Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) mobiles.

Hide folders

Posted by: Nath on: May 8, 2008

Hiding folders – the Hackers way

We Make a folder that looks like My computer or recycle bin. when system admin (victim) tries to access it he’ll get directed to the location Control Panel or Recycle Bin depending on the folder you named. But if you try to access it using ftp or total commander you get straight into your folder.

Lets Do this :-

1. Make A folder , put some contents in it (if you wish to)

2. Rename it “Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
without the quotes to make it look like control panel

3. Double click on it

4. Voila you land into control panel

5. Try to access the same folder with total commander or via ftp client . you can easily view the contents

Extra Stuff:-
to make it look like other things try these :-
Internet Explorer.{FBF23B42-E3F0-101B-8488-00AA003E56F8}
Recycle Bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
My Computer.{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
My Documents.{ECF03A32-103D-11d2-854D-006008059367}
Fonts.{BD84B380-8CA2-1069-AB1D-08000948F534}

Hide your Drives

Posted by: Nath on: May 8, 2008

How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,a:…etc)?

This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.

Go to start->run type regedit

Now go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\

CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive). Now modify it’s value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal). Now restart your computer. Now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown (all gone…). To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created. Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again. Magic……..lol….
